A recent trip to Cape Cod yielded this painting. I have always been drawn to old boats.
This is a scene near Ludwig's II palace modeled after Versailles. We had to take a ferry to get to this island where the palace is, and this is the view we were afforded when we got off the boat. Oil on panel 12x16.
Walk Along the Parkway (oil)
This is the oil version of a watecolor I painted a few years ago. I just love the colors in this one.
One of my oils. This scene is from a walk we took a couple of summers ago outside Lenox, MA. (12"x12")
Oaks at Glenn
This is a commission piece I did for a dear friend for the entry to the bridal room at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. These oaks grow out in front of the church. (22" x 30")
Sunrise at Stone Mountain
We went for a fundraising walk around Stone Mountain, GA one early morning in October. I brought my camera along a got this idea for a painting. The sun was just getting bright and shining through the trees. Watercolor 12x16"
Meadow at Tanglewood
This is a scene at Chesterwood (historical home of Daniel Chester French, who sculpted Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial). This patch of woods was just a few seconds from French's workshop. I love the sunlight playing through the trees. 30" x 22"
Morris House Pond
This is a painting from the Frelinghuysen/Morris House in Lenox, MA. Artists from the early to mid 1900's with a fantastic exhibit and grounds where I took a photo for the painting. I was inspired. (16x22 in)
Just down the road from Chesterwood which is outside Stockbridge, MA. I was taken with the bright purple flowers in a small meadow.
Flowers at Tanglewood
This one is from our time in Lenox, MA in the Berkshires in early August. What a beautiful part of the country. 30" x 22"
Sunset on the Berkshires
I love taking photos with a mind to paint them later. It's like savoring a good book when I go back through my pics and see what might make a painting. (14x30 in)
Low Country Road
This is a South Carolina scene from Wadlamaw Island which is located near Charleston. I am always taken with the trees and the spanish moss. (15x22 in)
A summer walk in an Audubon park near Lenox, MA.
Picket Fence Flowers
This painting caused me a fair amount of stops and starts. This is my third attempt at the subject. Some paintings just want to see who's in charge. (It's usually not me). (10x14 in)
These flowers are just a few doors down from my home. My neighbors have a beautiful flower garden in their front yard that provide me with inspirational subject matter. (9x12 in)
My wife and I took a walk on the Atlanta Beltline last summer and this was part of our reward when we reached Piedmont Park. (26x30)
North Carolina Autumn
Another nature shot of a roadside creek bleeding into a lake. The colors were fabulous. (28x20 in)
Brevard Stream Autumn
This is another shot of a stream near Brevard, NC. I took the photo in the spring but decided to "autumn" up the colors a bit. (13x28 in)
Easter in the Gardens
Sunrise at the Snowbird
Cherry Blossom on Oakdale
Mist at Sunrise
This is a sketch I painted of one of our Maple trees in our front yard. It's a very old tree and seems to be in its last stages, and it's been a good companion to us.

Daffodils at Gibbs Gardens
Spring in Gibbs Gardens is quite a treat. In daffodil season, the hills are covered in yellow flowers. It's difficult to focus on the subject matter as there is so much of it.
